ENGLAND: (1760-1820) King George III 1818 Silver Half Crown. Obverse: Small Laur head facing right. Legend: GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA 1818. Reverse: Crowned shield in garter. Good Very Fine with wear to the high points of the Laurel Wreath but with some inner vein remaining. Good Portrait, with contact marks to parts of the portrait and obverse field, reverse has a few edge nicks but some nice detail to the harp strings, weaker strike in parts. Overall a nice example with the possibility of a light clean early on though tone has returned.
