Designers initials under the bust De Saulles. REVERSE: St George and the Dragon with date 1902 below the ground and B.P in exergue. London Mint. S3974B. When grading half sovereigns one always should bear in mind that a half sovereign would have seen more circulation as more people could afford to own a half than a full sovereign. This is a Near Very Fine example which has some minor surface scratches to obverse and reverse.
