GREAT BRITAIN (1760- 1820) King George III 1779 Half Guinea (creased). Obverse: Fourth Laur head facing right, legend: GEORGIVS. III. DEI. GRATIA. Reverse: Crowned Shield of arms, legend: M.B.F.ET.H.REX.F.D.B.ET.L.D.S.R.I.A.T.ET.E. The coin has been rim filed, and creased under the portrait and under the Crown above the shield. Some good detail exists on both obverse and reverse. A tough year to obtain and at a start price and no reserve.
