ENGLAND : (1714-1727) King George I South Sea Company Silver Shilling. Obverse: first laureate and draped bust right, toothed border surrounding both sides, legend commences GEORGIVS DG M BR FR ET HIB REX FD. Reverse: Crowned cruciform shields, garter star at centre, initials of the South Sea Company in alternating angles, date flanking top crown, legend reads BRVN ET L DVX SRIATH ET EL (S.3647; Bull. 1586; ESC. 1176). The coin with bright appearance, and the beginning of mottled toning has some fantastic detail. Good Very Fine Plus Condition.
