A very collectable, hammered Silver Sixpence of Queen Elizabeth I, dated 1575. The obverse features the intermediate bust with the ear showing, facing left with a small rose behind. The reverse shows the square topped Royal shield of arms with the cross Fourchee through.1575 ELIZABETH I SILVER SIX PENCE IN HARRINGTON & BYRNE CASE. The coin has a crease from 5'oclock to 11 but does have some detail to part of the portrait and legend. The reverse has much clearer definition with a bold shield (left hand bottom quarter wear) and clear 1575 date above, Fine Condition obverse creased. Sold as seen.
