ALDERNEY: (1952-) Queen Elizabeth II 2019 Gold Proof 'Una and the lion' 5 coin set graded by PCGS. Struck to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of design of 'Una and the lion' originally designed by William Wyon and the 200th Anniversary of Victoria's birth. Obverse: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth, legend; ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REGINA ALDERNEY C.I. 2019. Reverse: A depiction of the 'Una and the Lion' with latin 'DIRIGE DEUS GRESSUS MEOS.' and Quarter Sovereign below. This desirable and sought after set minted by the Commonwealth Mint and struck in 999.9 ct gold has a strict mintage of just 400. The Five Pound alone has been known to sell in excess of £15,000 so a complete set is a huge find for any collector! NB This lot is protected by a hidden reserve.
