Britannia first appeared on a Roman coin imperial coin of the Emperor Hadrian (117-138AD), but she did not feature on English coins again until the reign of Charles II on farthings and half pennies. REVERSE: Features the horse drawn chariot design with Britannia at the helm. Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Britannia series. LEGEND: BRITANNIA 1987 1/10th OUNCE OF FINE GOLD.
