GREAT BRITAIN: (1952-Present Day) Queen Elizabeth II Proof Coronation Cupro-nickel 'Frosted VIP' Crown PF65 Cameo. Obverse: Queen on horseback. Legend: ELIZABETH.II.DEI.GRATIA.BRITT OMN.REGINA.FIDEI.DEFENSOR FIVE SHILLINGS. The Latin legends translate as on obverse "Elizabeth the Second, by the grace of God, Queen of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith." Crowned E II R either side of the horse. Reverse: Struck en medaille crown in the centre of emblematical cross, Shield of Arms in each angle. The frosted Proof's were issued only to V.I.P's and just 40,000 were issued in Proof Sets. They have a frosted appearance on the portrait and a mirrored finish on the outer field. Graded by NGC PF 65 Cameo.
