Obverse : Features a young crowned portrait (by Arnold Machin) of Elizabeth II facing right with dates 1988 2013 either side, top legend ELIZABETH II below 50 DOLLARS. Reverse: Designed by Jean-Louis Sirois 'Shadowleaf' image features an embossed maple leaf set within a gold-plated recessed semi-cirlce merged with the leaf's shadow. Also, a Commemorative logo celebrating the 25th anniversary. Certificate no 249/ 2000
