This series has different designs depicting heraldic animals representing the Medieval Tudor Dynasty which ruled England between 1485 & 1603. Fifth Portrait. Obverse: Designer is Jody Clark. Elizabeth II bust facing right. Legend: ELIZABETH II.D.G.REG.F.D.500 POUNDS. In small letters below the bust, the designer's initials J.C (for Jody Clark). Reverse: In centre the Seymour Panther, representing the union between King Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, with flames coming from its mouth and ears. The beast wears a chained crown around its neck and holds a shield with a double wing device, which forms a part of Jane Seymour's arms as queen consort. Legend: SEYMOUR PANTHER.2022.
