The Armenian Prince Levon was crowned King Levon I on January 6th 1198, knowns as Levon 'The Magnificent' for his contributions to the military, political and economic influence. This tram struck in Silver and features the King seated facing on a ornamented throne, holding a cross. The legend fleur-de-lis reads LEVON KING OF THE ARMENIANS'. The reverse depicts a pair of lions standing back to back separated by a tall cross with the legend By the Will of God in Armenian. Graded by NGC AU, and is a nice 800 year old coin.
