They are not legal tender coins therefore would have been subject to VAT on release. Each pattern weighs 19.61 g and are struck in 22ct gold 0.916. Total gold weight is 2.3116. Obverse: Crowned Forth portrait of the Queen facing right. Legend: ELIZABETH .II. D.G REG. F.D. 2003 Reverse Designs: The Scottish Forth Railway Bridge, Welsh Menai Straits Bridge, Northern Irish Egyptian Arch Railway Bridge and the English Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Edge: Plain. The set has been kept in it's original box and remains unhandled. The coins may benefit from conservation should the new owner decide to slab.
