FRENCH: (1804-1814/ 1815) Napoleon 1 1812 Gold 40 Franc. Obverse: Laureate head of Napoleon I left; signed DROZ F on neck. Reverse: 40 Francs In a crown formed by two laurel branches. Inscribed in hollow : tranche A (Paris Mint). Francs were struck 1795-1959 .900 gold.
