Obverse: Features Ellizabeth II young portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in Gothic style; with the same Crown used for Victoria's Gothic Crown. Legend: Elizabeth Dei gratia britaniar reg: f:d. Inner legend: Alderney c.l. 2021 five pounds. Reverse: Represents the three nations Three Lions of England, Scotland (Rampant Lion) and the Harp of Ireland. In the angles are two roses, a shamrock and a thistle - the national plants of England, Scotland and Ireland respectively. In the centre there is a four-leafed flower.
