AUSTRALIA: (1952-2022) Queen Elizabeth II 2001 Bi-Metallic (Gold and Silver) Perth Mint 'Centenary of Federation' 20 Dollar. On January 1 1901 , the six British colonies in Australia came together in a Federation and the Commonwealth of Australia was born. The coin features a Fine Gold, star-shaped centrepiece depicting Australia's Coat of Arms. The seven pointed star symbolises each of the six States and the seventh point represents the Territories. The Coat of Arms is superimposed over a wattle blossom, the national floral emblem. A fine Silver boarder surrounds the floral emblems for each state and the Northern Territory.The coin is issued with capsule, wooden box, certificate of authenticity and outer case.
