CHILE: (1846-1851) Republic. 1851 8 Escudo's. Obverse features the Chile Coat of Arms, with the year of mintage. Latin 'IQUALDAD ANTE LA LEI' translated 'Equality before the Law'. Reverse Displays a standing Liberty. The coin weighing 27g of .875 gold are quite rare. This coin has seen some circulation but retained some good detail, a good clear date and legend. Overall a good fine - very fine Condition.
