Description
Panama issued large silver 20 Balboa coins between 1971 to 1985. At the time, the 20 Balboas were one of the largest silver coins produced. Issued in both proof and uncirculated finishes, they are a popular choice for collectors and investors. The mintage of the proof versions is higher than that of the uncirculated coins. These coins are struck in sterling silver (.925 fineness) and contain 3.8544 troy ounces of the precious metal. The mintage figure for these proof coins is 116,000.
