GREAT BRITAIN: (1820-1830) King George IV 1825 Bare Head Gold Sovereign. Obverse: George IV Bare Head Portrait facing left. Legend lettering: GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA with date below bust. Reverse: In the centre the Crowned Shield. Legend lettering: BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF: Edge: Milled. (S3801 / MARSH 10). Good Fine Condition, with some surface scratches. Rated Scarce in 'The Gold Sovereign Series' Michael A Marsh (revised by Steve Hill). A great coin to obtain if planning to purchase the new 2025 'Shield' Sovereign which is the 200th anniversary of this design.
Condition
Good Fine plus Condition, with some surface scratches to the obverse field and neck of George. Original lustre remains with the reverse retaining good detail.
