GREAT BRITAIN: (1820-1830) King George IV 1827 Bare Head Gold Sovereign. Obverse: George IV Bare Head Portrait facing left. Legend lettering: GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA with date below bust. Reverse: In the centre the Crowned Shield. Legend lettering: BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF: Edge: Milled. (S3801 / MARSH 12). Good Very Fine Condition. Rated Scarce in 'The Gold Sovereign Series' Michael A Marsh (revised by Steve Hill). A great coin to obtain if planning to purchase the new 2025 'Shield' Sovereign which is the 200th anniversary of this design.

Good Very Fine Condition. Good detail to both obverse and reverse with some bag marks to the obverse field. Overall a nice condition coin with good eye appeal.
