GREAT BRITAIN: (1820-1830) King George IV 1830 Bare Head Gold Sovereign. Obverse: George IV Bare Head Portrait facing left. Legend lettering: GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA with date below bust. Reverse: In the centre the Crowned Shield. Legend lettering: BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF: Edge: Milled. (S3801 / MARSH 15). Fine Condition. Rated Scarce in 'The Gold Sovereign Series' Michael A Marsh (revised by Steve Hill). A great coin to obtain if planning to purchase the new 2025 'Shield' Sovereign which is the 200th anniversary of this design.
Condition
Fine Condition- Wear to the obverse hair and portrait and high points of the reverse. No sign of cleaning just good old wear. A good example of a much loved design.
