The bust is slightly larger than on earlier coins, the lower point of the truncation of the Queen's neck projects well into the legend and date area, and the front ribbon on the top of the head is still wider than the others. No designer's initials W.W. at the truncation Reverse: In centre garnished shield quartered with the arms of England, Scotland, Ireland & surmounted by a Royal Crown. Legend lettering: BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: Edge: Milled.
