Description
GREAT BRITAIN: (1760-1820) King George III 1820 Gold Sovereign. Obverse: Head of George III Bust facing Right. Date below trun. Legend: GEORGIUS III D:G:BRITANNIAR:REX F:D: Reverse: St.George & Dragon. Legend Lettering: HONI.SOIT.QUI.MAL.Y.PENSE. Edge: Milled. S3785C. This coin has great detail to the hair and laurel wreath, however the coin has damage to the I in 'Britannia' as well as the edge and the reverse below St George and the Dragon ground. A great coin to enjoy the detail of this design, however likely it's been mounted at some stage of its life. Very Fine - Damaged.
