GIBRALTAR: (1952-2022) Queen Elizabeth II 2016 Gibraltar 9ct Gold Double Crown. Obverse: Elizabeth II crowned, facing right (Designed by Raphael Maklouf ) to celebrate her 90th Birthday. Legend; ELIZABETH II D.G.REGINA.GIBRALTAR.2016.DOUBLE CROWN. Special privy mark to the left of the bust '90' Topped with a Crown. Reverse: A modern interpretation of the Official United Kingdom 'Coat of Arms' set within a regal border. To the left is the Lion supporting the shield, to the right of the shield is the Unicorn of Scotland. The coat of arms features both the motto of the British Monarchs, 'Dieu et mon droit' Gold and my right, and the motto of the Order of the Garter, 'Honi soit qui mal y pense' Shame on him who thinks this evil which is represented on the Garter behind the shield.
