Description
COMMEMORATIVE PATTERN SET - Produced by the London Mint Office. The set consists of a Crown - with a Una & the lion reverse, Half Crown- George on horseback slaying the Dragon, 2 Shilling - Quartered Arms with the date 1936 inbetween, Shilling- With Seated Britannia, Sixpence- Shield with thistles below, and Threpence with Laurel Wreath. Obverse: Features a Bare Head portrait of Edward VIII facing left, legend; EDWARDVS VIII. G. BR. OMN. REX F.D. IND. IMP. Struck in Sterling Silver and layered in gold. Just 499 sets were produced.
