GREAT BRITAIN: (1760-1820) King George III 1820 Silver Crown. Obverse: George III Laurel Head facing right with the designers initials in small letters below bust PISTRUCCI. Legend: GEORGIUS III D:G: BRITANNIARUM REX F:D: 1820 Reverse: St. George and the Dragon all within Garter. Lettering: HONI. SOIT. QUI. MAL. Y. PENSE. Edge inscribed: DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI LX. The coin once lightly cleaned has begun retoning, some exquisite detail as with many Crown issues. Reminiscent of a sculpture with details in relief and good bold legend. Toothed border, and inscription edge lettering. Overall a good Very Fine or better.
