GREAT BRITAIN: (1837-1901) Queen Victoria Young Head 1874 #Die 23 Gold Half Sovereign. Obverse: Head of Victoria Young Bust facing Left. Type A3 Third Larger Young Head with Date below bust. Legend: VICTORIA DEI GRATIA. Obverse 3 by Marsh (1872 - 1877): The bust is slightly larger than on earlier coins, the lower point of the truncation of the Queen's neck projects well into the legend and date area, and the front ribbon on the top of the head is still wider than the others. No designer's initials W.W. at the truncation Reverse: In centre garnished shield quartered with the arms of England, Scotland, Ireland & surmounted by a Royal Crown. Legend lettering: BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: Edge: Milled. Good Fine Condition.
