Obverse: Head of King's Bust to the Left, 2nd Laurel head Bust Legend: JACOBVS.II.DEI.GRATIA Reverse: Crowned shield of Arms, Crowned Cruciform Shields Sceptres in Angles Legend: MAG.BR.FRA.ET.HIB.REX. 1686. S3410. Coins struck during King James II reign are scarce, especially in high grade. This is mainly because the reign was short (3 yrs). It is extremely difficult to find silver from this period in above Very Fine as most were heavily circulated. This near Extremely Fine Condition example is a true find for a collector wishing to obtain a high grade example.
