Two pound coin: symbolic of the advance of technology from the Iron Age to the internet. One Pound: The Arms of England described in the Royal Proclamation as 'three lions passant guardant, being that quartering of our Royal Arms known heraldically as England. fifty pence: The seated figure of Britannia. Twenty pence: The badge of England, the Tudor Rose in stylised form and rayalled crowned. Ten pence: Part of the crest of England ; a lion passant guardant royally crowned. Five pence: The Badge of Scotland, a thistle royally crowned.
