The Sovereign in the centre is the same size and weight as any other sovereign struck in 22ct proof gold. The sovereign marks the historic role of the sovreign and the importance of silver in the Mint's Heritage. OBVERSE: Portrays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth by Ian Rank-Broadly and the lettering ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 100 DOLLARS on the silver outer circle. REVERSE: Bears the famous St George and the Dragon and the lettering THE PERTH MINT CENTENARY SOVREIGN 1899-1999.
